 ibia's 10th anniversary is just around the corner! We have prepared some nice events for you, starting on Monday. Also some groovy party items will be added to the game to celebrate the jubilee with us. Moreover, 3-months Premium Accounts will be given away to 1,000 lucky winners. Find out more details next week on our redesigned Tibia website.
Please note that all game servers and the website will go offline on Monday, January 8th, at 2:00 pm CET for a few hours to launch a small update for the festivities and our all new website.

 n exciting and successful year lies behind us. CipSoft moved office and new people joined our team to help to improve Tibia for you. Most important, great updates took place in August and December which brought the mysterious Shattered Isles with its beautiful city Liberty Bay, new creepy monsters, glamourous new outfits, bank accounts and many more awesome new game features.
By now more than 250,000 play Tibia and more than 80,000 players enjoy our premium features. We would like to thank all our players for the support and trust they have put in our company. Also we would like to thank all of you for being part of the community that makes Tibia what it is. Most of all, we would like to thank our volunteer helpers, our tutors and gamemasters, for the great work they provide for the community. Last but not least, we would like to thank the administrators and teams of the supported fansites for distributing fantastic articles and information to our players and for their excellent work for the community.
Of course, we do not rest on our laurels. Next year, many new thrilling events await you in Tibia. January will get hot when Tibia celebrates its 10th birthday! Don't miss the many surprises we have planned for you to mark our anniversary! Of course, we will continue to improve Tibia throughout the whole year. ime to unwrap your first Christmas present! We proudly present this year's Christmas update!
Ab'dendriel appears in a new look this Christmas. Solid tree walls, knothole windows and terrific roofs decorated with gnarled roots, grass mats and exotic plants now dominate the appearance of the elfish city.
In addition to a revised Ab'dendriel, challenging new quests await the brave adventurer in Tibia. Strength is needed to defeat the many new horrid monsters. Still, this will not be enough to obtain the immense treasures that await you in the new mysterious dungeons. Cleverness is needed to solve the tricky riddles that await those who dare to take on these new missions. In case you have lost track of the quests you have already started, take a look in your all new quest log. Here you find also information about tasks you have already completed.
Moreover, global bank accounts have been introduced which can be used to deposit and transfer money. Also, all rents and the money for house auctions will be debited directly from your bank account in the future. For this reason it is important that all players that own a house, deposit money at the bank to make sure that the rent for their houses will be paid. However, for all those who are already on Christmas holidays, a transitional period of 3 weeks has been implemented in which the rent can still be paid.
Finally, ovens and most of the immobile furniture has been removed from the houses. Don't worry, though, as they can still be bought in your local furniture store. All windows in private houses have received shutters which can be closed, so there will be no more unwanted trash in your nicely decorated homes. Speaking about decoration, numerous new Christmas decorations like garlands, wreaths and branches have been added to the game to embellish the Tibian cities. Personalise your gifts by using colourful wrappings and by writing Christmas cards. Moreover, you can bake delicious cakes now whenever a festivity takes place in Tibia.
Of course, Santa Claus visits all Tibian cities this year. However, the chance to get one of the rarer items like a santa doll, a teddybear or a piggy bank is higher in the premium areas.
The update patch will download automatically when you log into the game. If you should encounter any problems, you can alternatively download the new client 7.9 from this website.

Dec 11 2006 - Public Test Server Open | | |

he test server is now open to the public. The aim is to test the stability of the servers so there are no special features you have to try out. Of course, the new game features are available to you. However, they have been tested thoroughly by our tutors and gamemasters, so there is no need to test them any further. Please read the update teasers of the last weeks to find out about the changes ingame. Also note, that all quest doors are closed.
We have set up 2 test servers. All characters which play on an European world (e.g. Antica) can join the server "Testa" whereas all characters on an American world (e.g. Amera) are able to enter "Testera".
To log into the test server please make a copy of your Tibia folder, execute the copied Tibia client, check the option Test Server Login in the network preferences and login. You will then receive a patch for your client. The player data were taken from the backup of December, 4th, so you may have to use your old password. Please note that you will not be able to log into the official servers with the test version of the client!
If you should detect an error in the game, please report it to a tutor or gamemaster.
Please understand that the test servers have only a limited capacity. Therefore, please try to join the test servers some hours later if you cannot log into it right away.
Update: The public test server has ended and we would like to thank all participating players for their help.

Dec 08 2006 - Important House Issue | | |

 ith the update, windows will receive shutters and all ovens and some of the immobile furniture will be removed from the houses. Instead, you will be able to buy them in your local furniture store after the update. For this reason it is necessary that all houses are cleaned. You can either bring all items you have stored in your house to the depot yourself in the next few days, or have them moved to your depot automatically during the update. Of course, all of your items will be sent to your depot safely and you will not lose them even if the depot limit is exceeded. This applies also to guildhalls. Everything that is still in the guildhall when the update is launched will be sent to the depot of the guild leader. Please understand that all items that are not portable, such as chairs and tables, must be deleted.

ith this week's update teaser, we want to awake the Christmas spirit in you.
This year, you will have more than Christmas trees and candy canes to embellish your houses and flats. Visit your local furniture store and say Christmas to find out about this season's offers. Christmas branches make a beautiful table decoration. Get colourful gift wrappings to personalise the presents for your beloved ones. Wreaths and garlands will certainly add Christmas flair into the Tibian cities. Send Christmas cards to the people important in your life.
Like every Christmas season, Santa Claus hands out presents, among them a cute new santa doll. This year, Santa's supply of rarer items like teddybears, dolls, piggy banks and the new santa dolls is larger in the premium areas. Therefore, we recommend that all players with a Premium Account ask Santa Claus for a present in a premium city.
Still, there are more festivities to celebrate in Tibia. Wall decoration in the form of bats and skeletons can be bought at stores during the Halloween season. Since parties and birthdays are celebrated throughout the whole year, the Tibian bakery has finally made public the recipe for baking cake. Just add fruits and a candle to create a real party cake.
So send out invitations and celebrate your Christmas party in a nicely decorated atmosphere!
